Kat Williams, well-known UK wedding blogger of Rock n Roll Bride, and her husband Gareth, sauntered across the great Atlantic on her second, his first, visit to ‘the States’ with Omaha as their first stop ending the trip in Los Angeles to meet up with west coast bloggers she admires. Making her American television debut in Nebraska on Channel 3’s The Morning Blend, Kat was invited by Megan Hunt, local wedding dress designer, to walk for her line, Princess Lasertron, at Omaha Fashion Week.  As a closet computer geek and Internet child fueling latest obsessions with online forums, Kat started Rock n Roll Bride in October 2007 as a way to share her wedding.  “I loved reading wedding magazines and all the US wedding blogs and wanted a piece of the action.  That’s not to say I thought there was any money to be made out of blogging back then. I really just started it to document my wedding planning because I liked the sense of community blogging and what it started to create.”  Kat not only writes for her blog now but other print and online publications throughout the UK.  RocknRollBride.com showcases and highlights wedding submissions that define eccentricity and individuality in an industry, which tends to turn sourly bland and cookie cutter very quickly.  Wedding themes on the site range anywhere from simple southern and punk rock to retro and vintage styles.
